About i4s

Our modern society, industry, and science are increasingly dependent on space technology, which in turn is vulnerable to solar activity and Sun-Earth interactions. Most of the doctoral and master programs do not focus on Space Weather studies and Sun-Earth interactions. This school is an opportunity for scientists, students, and entrepreneurs to learn more about  Sun-Earth interactions, Space Weather, and its impact on society.

The main objective of the school is to provide professional development for young researchers in the domain of Space Weather, with an emphasis on the fundamental science of the Sun-Earth system, modeling, and forecasting.

We are pleased to announce the third edition of the Iberian Space Science Summer School (i4s 2023) which will take place on 26-30 June 2023.

The school will be held in-person in Coimbra, Portugal at the Department of Physics of the University of Coimbra

The main objective of the school is to provide professional development for young researchers in the domain of Space Weather, with an emphasis on the fundamental science of the Sun-Earth system, modeling, and forecasting.
